Garbage Collection
TRASH PICKUP HAS RESUMED and continues through mid-October. Reminder that garbage is picked up by Willimantic Waste Paper Company Inc. and will only be collected from the blue (recycling) or green (all other garbage) bins supplied by them. Click here for more information. If you have any questions please contact Willimantic Waste Customer Service Department at 860-423-4527 or by email at info@williwaste.com.
Drive Slowly and Carefully
Speeding is a concern on our narrow roads. PLEASE drive slowly. The speed limit is 10 mph. Tell your guests, workers, and delivery people to drive slowly when coming to your home. Slower speeds also protect our roads from excessive wear and tear, saving everyone money in the long run.
DEEP Contact
The DEEP has a 24/7-365 dispatch center. The number is 860.424.3333. Complaints can be dispatched to ECON Police Staff or other agency staff as appropriate, depending on the situation.
Beaches
To ensure healthy swimming conditions again this season, dogs are not allowed on either beach for any reason and please leave the beach the way you found it. Carry out what you carry in. For everyone's safety and enjoyment of our beaches, we have posted the rules of usage at both beaches. Click here to see beach rules.
Courtesy Hours
There have been several complaints about off-hour noise, including equipment use, loud music and gatherings and recreational vehicles. We live in close proximity to our neighbors and to ensure continued goodwill, the board is requesting COURTESY HOURS.
Please do not use power equipment or create excessive noise during late evening or early morning hours (after 10:00 pm or before 9:00 am) We appreciate your cooperation and the consideration you show your neighbors to preserve our strong sense of community
Secure your Trashcans!
Please remember to close trash cans tightly when you leave your property. Trash will be picked up each Wednesday. Any trash barrels left unsecured before that are likely to be ransacked by animals, infested with insects, blown over in a storm or all of the above. Let's keep our lake properties clean and be good neighbors.
House Numbers
Post your house numbers clearly so emergency vehicles can easily find your cottage.
